The longest river in Scotland, 188km (117 miles)
It sources are near Ben Lui and it joins the North Sea at Dundee.
The uppers sections have several names; the River Connonish, the River Fillan and the River Dochart. In Killin The Loch Tay starts (23km) and from Kenmore the River Tay continues to the sea.
The section from Perth to Dundee is tidal.
The Tay has several tributaries, including the Earn, the River Tummel, the Isla and the Almond. They can be combined into the longer expeditions on the Tay catchment.
