Actively promoting Scottish Tourism

Ever since Outdoor Explore launched back in 2014 we are working in partnership with Visit Scotland, Perth & Kinross and Dundee City Council on encouraging more visitors from UK and abroad to the area. This means not only offering top quality services (see our TripAdvisor ratings) but more importantly actively offering our consultations (mostly pro bono) on various events and talks. We already have taken part in Visit Scotland's Expo Show in 2016 & 2017, promoting Perthshire and East of Scotland, given a talk in Birnam on Perthshire Talks Tourism conference and soon visiting Scottish Parliament too!  Our work in this subject will no doubly continue... We have been recently listed as one of the best 'after hours' activity providers by Visit Scotland - link here and event taken our time to encourage more people paddling in Perthshire - see the video

After many years of discussions, practices, meetings and writing updated syllabuses for touring and white water kayaking it was time to move on with the sea kayak one. Once I offered  to my Polish colleagues coaches to launch the practical part here, with Outdoor Explore, in Scotland. As it happened October 2016 turned out to be a perfect time for it. Exploring east and west coast we launched  'PSKK Morski'. Now we continue on providing further coaching updates, workshops and assessments.

Kayaking across Scotland in one day

Not so long time ago the longest water crossing of Scotland, following Forth & Clyde and Union Canals has been updated. Adding many canoe and kayak friendly pontoons on any stops, portages and launching spots, Scottish Canals created another great multi day paddling attraction. With a very good old friend Ben we have decided to tackle this over 100 km task in one day... more here

Loch Ness winter kayak trip

When Jamie from Teddy Bear Children Support charity phoned us and asked what's the hardest winter kayaking can he try to help and raise a profile of his organisation, we said 'Loch Ness'. As expected, 21st December 2016 was a very, very stormy day with gusts of 70 mph. We used a tandem ocean kayak and we did it, just...
