Explore hidden gems of Scotland

Choose one of our bespoke locations for your tour offered by Outdoor Explore in Scotland. All are suitable for novice and experienced explorers. Unless requested otherwise, these tours will last about 2 - 2.5 hours. Offered all year round, with starting times at 10.00, 14.00 or 18.00.

River Isla kayaking

Take a mellow journey on the River Isla near Coupar Angus and Blairgowrie. Try kayaking or canoeing, in single or double boats, or paddle boarding! This trip is suitable for explorers of almost any age and ability to enjoy the wilderness on our doorstep. A great place to see evidence and maybe catch a glimpse of the Tayside beavers! Another lovely place to try sunset kayaking.

Interested in the history of Scotland? Want to visit a 'spooky' island with a castle? Join us on a kayak or canoe trip on Clunie Loch (Loch of Clunie) near Blairgowrie. This small loch is very suitable for our youngest explorers (age 4+) and we love to arrange themed days (e.g. Pirate Canoe trips - a great idea for a birthday party), or night kayaking in the winter and spring!

Clunie Loch Kayaking
Loch Tay kayaking

Visit Loch Tay,  go kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding from Kenmore (eastern end of the loch) or Killin (western end). Stunning scenery and historical sights (e.g. the Crannog Centre) which you really should add to your 'bucket list' when visiting Perthshire. It's location allows us to enjoy often sights of ospreys and even golden eagles!
