ABOUT

Outdoor Explore was launched in August 2014. Based in Perthshire, Alyth to be exact, offers a range of activities across Central Scotland. It's a small business but sharing best practice with our clients when exploring the great outdoors. Working mainly with small groups and individuals we are proudly offering top quality customer service and hoping to inspire participants to respect, admire and look after the environment we live in.

Piotr Gudan
Founder and guide

With 17 years of experience working in the outdoors I hope to continue sharing my passion to paddle sports (primarily kayaking), mountains and wildlife. Taking people to less know places with stunning scenery, sharing the stories, some legends and teaching those who wish to learn driven me to start Outdoor Explore. Qualified coach and guide in UK and Poland. Offering my free time as a retained firefighter in Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. Volunteering time to local charities, community groups and DofE expeditions.

Meet the team
Freelance staff

Over the years we met many great teachers, interesting guides, inspiring leaders and highly qualified instructors along the way. Same as the ethos of Outdoor Explore, they were sharing their passion for kayaking, mountain biking, climbing, mountaineering, etc. Some of them are assisting us with the product delivery, making sure you are having a great time exploring and staying safe. So please say hello to Craig, Bob, Rosie,  Neil, Martin, Georgiana, Richie, Pete, Dave, Cara & Stephen who I hope you will meet very soon.

Our base - The Barony
Converted church, Alyth

In February 2017 we have opened our outdoorsy hub, tourist information centre, paddle and cycle shop, serving great coffee, home baked cakes and even with indoor bouldering wall. Great project, restoring an old church in Alyth, Perthshire. Collaborative idea with our friends from Alyth Cycles. Visit us in person or read more on www.baronyalyth.co.uk
